Tiger Steam - Fiji

0-4-0T Nausori 1 (John Fowler 5406/1887) was delivered to Rarawai, coming here in 1910. By 1957, it left the shed only at the beginning of the season (June or July) to work the grass scorcher, seen attached to the front of the locomotive, which sprayed steam on the track beneath the frame. It was scrapped in 1959. (PH)
