Raj Steam - Bangladesh

The dominant locomotive type in East Bengal between the world wars was the 4-6-0 and numerous variants of the BESA design were built. Ex-ESR PC 20 (Vulcan Foundry 1910) would have started life as an unsaturated P with slide valves and had been rebuilt with piston valves. It was at Dacca on 16th November 1979. (PM)
