Safari Steam North

Named after the American explorer, the stern-wheeled paddle steamer Stanley was built by Ritchie, Graham and Milne in Glasgow, Scotland in 1913 for service on Lake Kioga. She was abandoned in 1961, as the need for lake services had been obviated by construction of the Pakwach branch. (TB Collection)
