Built by Bow, McLachlan at Paisley in Scotland in 1912, the SS Usoga was launched at Kisumu, Kenya in 1913. The first oil burner, she was equipped to carry both passengers and cargo. She was still in service at Mwanza, Tanzania on 26th January 1971. (TB)
