These two Bagnall built 2-6-2T were the only small locomotives in East Africa to be fitted with Giesl ejectors. There are several pictures of the 12 class on this CD-ROM which show them in sparkling ex-works condition but this is the more typical day-to-day condition of 1202 photographed at Tabora in 1968. (BR)
