The 11 class 2-6-2T were the standard lightweight shunting locomotive in East Africa, found in all three countries. They were variously built by Vulcan Foundry, Hunslet and Bagnall. Tabora's allocation in 1968 included 1124 although its typical duties would be more likely covered by one of the more modern 12 class. (BR) |
