On 10th February 1988, Railway Travel and Photography organised a charter train to run from Kohat on the line towards Thal. As the train crossed a dried up river near Chikarkot, it was clear that they had turned out just about every serviceable coach, as the earlier pictures show, three was the norm. (SB)
