Raj Steam - Bangladesh

The only known surviving metre gauge steam locomotive is 2-8-2 YD (new) 718. This was built by Nippon in 1952 when 25 were delivered to the then East Pakistan. A number of these were transferred to West Pakistan in 1966. It is preserved outside the railway HQ in Dacca and was photographed on 31st December 2009. (TS)
