Not quite steam trams but…
Definitely not steam trams but…
Steam railcars (often confusingly called railmotors
because the Australians sometimes used this term for their steam trams) had
a longer life than steam trams but even fewer survive because the only use
for them when they were made redundant was to strip out the steam engine and
turn them into 'normal' coaches. Quite a few survive in that state and it is
not impossible, like the GWR example below, that they will be 'restored' in
due course.
Not so long back (OK 30 years ago), there were near
derelict Clayton steam railcars in Sudan and Sentinel steam railcars in
Malawi, but I do not know if they still survive.
The book "Pickled Passengers" by Paul Bennett. is about Sentinel-Cammell narrow gauge steam
railcars with lots of photos and a works list in the appendices.

railcar SP 9 (13th March 2023), the residual engine part

2019), Kevin Hoggett's picture of Tasmanian railcar SP4 (17th January 2017), Ralf Aroksalasch's picture of the
Växjö-Alvesta railcar (28th September 2015) and Neil Edwards' picture of the
standard gauge Swedish railcar (3rd June 2015)..
