Harvey Smith was based in and around Moscow off and on from 1997 to 2014
and has now moved to St. Petersburg. Apart
from this report he has also posted information on other attractions in
Moscow and the rest of Russia, there are links at the bottom
of the page.
Podmoskovnaya stabled visiting locos for festivities at Shcherbinka on 1st to
3rd August 2014 celebrating 180 years of Russian locomotives
starting from Cherepanov Father and Son who built the first Russian steam locomotive

See below for details of Harvey's pre-Shcherbinka visit
but there now follows information from a post-show visit on 6th August 2014
when, for the first time, Harvey was able to see inside the shed. This has
taken him years to achieve by careful negotiation and is not available to
casual visitors.
In addition to those steam locomotives previously noted including those that were visiting for the 180 years celebration at
Shcherbinka he found:
-
LV-0522 (seen previously)
-
ER-774-38. The first Russian steam locomotive he ever rode behind in July 2010.
-
An unnumbered class L
-
9P-19499 from Shcherbinka being rebuilt to running condition at Podmokovnaya. Probably to be the depot
shunter. She is little more than a boiler, frames, wheels and valve gear. So the project is ambitious.

Harvey Smith was lucky enough to visit the depot on 25th July 2014 and
the show. Here are some of the pictures he took at Podmoskovnaya:
