Steam in China, March 2007

Zhenjiang

A quick visit to Zhenjiang limestone on the 4th of March 2007 found the following:
In steam JS 6284 at Weigang.
At Weigang shed JS6536 plus one other in compound by shed dumped.
At Weigang near water column JS 6287 , JS 6286 both long dumped.
DF10D 0128 arrived last month and now appears to do all line work.
JS 6284 shunts the empties from the water column yard to the loading point and then works the empties forward as they are loaded. The loaded train is then worked up to water column yard and then worked forward by the DF10D.
The DF10 crew claimed that a second DF10D is due this month and a third the month after.
Weather was cold 5 degrees and raining.
News papers were full of stories about extreme snow falls in Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin areas with many trains cancelled.
