Safari Steam North

The 23 class 4-8-0 was built by Beyer Peacock for Tanganyika (now Tanzania), essentially the 22 class but with piston valves. 2302 was ex-works in Nairobi in January 1968, ready to go back to Gulu in Uganda for the lightly laid Pakwach branch which was their last home. (BR)
