Showman's Engines
This is one of a series of pages which I have uploaded to illustrate facets of steam rallies we have attended in the UK. Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they are easily found by using your favourite search engine and may have anything between a handful of steam engines and hundreds (as at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which could probably be fairly described as having an excess of riches). In 2022 and 2023, the website was inaccurately advertising "Over 20 of the Showman's Engines" and finally this was achieved in 2024 and repeated in 2025. I understand that the Scarborough collection is no longer touring but there were three showman's engines from Saunders which helped. It was good to see the two superlions in close proximity (Fowler 19782 and 19783).

on Friday, being near the optimal time if the sun shines.
It would have been near impossible on Saturday given the vast crowd present
here then.
