Camborne Trevithick Day, (30th April, 2022)
This is one of a series of pages which I have uploaded to illustrate facets of steam rallies we have attended in the UK. Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they are easily found by using your favourite search engine and may have anything between a handful of steam engines and hundreds (as at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which could probably be fairly described as having an excess of riches). As for steam, the number of engines was down on 2019 (20 vs 26) but there were 3 new engines for me which these days is very good, given that I come here for the experience rather than the gricing. As such, I got my roster shots in the hazy morning sun and didn't feel cheated when the afternoon parade rolled past under a cloud covered sky. Engine of the day was undoubtedly Fowler 9868 making what I believe was its its first public appearance in steam in 42 years.
