Strumpshaw Steam Rally 2016 |

|
This is one of a series of pages which I have uploaded to illustrate facets of steam rallies we have attended in the UK (since 2013). Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they are easily found by using your favourite search engine and may have anything between a handful of steam engines and hundreds (as at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which could probably be fairly described as having an excess of riches). Click here for the Strumpshaw index and click here for the overall 2016 index. Steam Gallopers Savage centre engine "John Bull" (638/1895) was driving a traditional set of Gallopers.
Miniatures While the only thing 'steam' about the 2ft gauge railway was the outline of the diesel engine, there was a short 7¼" line in operation. Among the usual miniature road engines, one Burrell was operating a saw bench.
Steam Cars A number of these were present, but I don't think all are illustrated. The first two are Locomobile (types), the others Stanleys.
