This is one of a series of pages which I have uploaded to illustrate facets of steam rallies we have attended in the UK. Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they are easily found by using your favourite search engine and may have anything between a handful of steam engines and hundreds (as at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which could probably be fairly described as having an excess of riches). Click here for the Great North Steam Fair 2015 index and click here for the overall index for 2015. I naturally concentrated on the visiting attractions, but the steam gallopers, the two locomotives working the colliery line and the wagonway replicas are part of the Beamish collection as far as I know. There were 5 trams seen in use, 4 on each day, they were running clockwise, the buses running anti-clockwise and everything else clockwise to minimise conflicting movements. Trams For more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beamish_Museum#Tramway. |
