Rempstone Steam and Country Show (13th - 14th, July 2024)

We had been to Rempstone in 2016, 2017 and 2022. It's a large show (41, 46 and 54 engines respectively) and this year the number had risen again (to 66), no doubt the demise of the former Lincoln Rally was a significant factor. It's a brave gricer who attempts to photograph everything here in the course of a day and Rod Smith was only thwarted by Garrett 33986 and my would be nemesis in 2022, Ruston Proctor 33189 which no doubt were again mainly skulking in an almost unphotographable position near or on a saw bench. Fortunately, Ron Johl was also present and has supplied appropriate pictures (added 19th August 2024).
My memory of Rempstone is that of a somewhat crowded site with a welcoming atmosphere. In this case the day seems to have been largely overcast which must have presented a further challenge to the photographer.
