Chiltern Steam Rally, (1st - 2nd July, 2023)

I did not attend and viewed from afar it sounds like a 'plain vanilla' rally finding its way. Thanks as always to Paul Gilbey for his pictures. Rather more than half the engines had been at the recent Herts Steam and Country Show but in this relatively densely populated area I doubt there was much overlap of visitors save maybe for the odd enthusiast (like Paul!).
Paul writes of his visit:
"This was the first Chiltern Traction Engine Rally for 3 years and at a new site, Hyde End, Bucks. I found it hard to judge the number of visitors as the site is large and the exhibits were well spread out with large open spaces. Trade stalls were limited with mostly second hand goods. There was no programme, the arena events were listed on the entrance farm gate and there was no seating available around the arena."
