Raj Steam - Southern Railway Gallery

Chittaranjan built WP1 7723 was specially positioned on the turntable at Erode for the visiting Great India Train Journey group on 22nd November 1977. The locally built version had detail differences and was slightly heavier than the original foreign built locomotives, hence the minor change in designation. (PM)
