Raj Steam - Southern Railway Gallery

Basically a BESA 4-6-0, W class 24369 built by Bagnall in 1923 was photographed at Marikuppam, the end of s short branch from Bangrapet, on 18th January 1971. This was a special working 'on request' and the locomotive is gleaming as it had been repainted overnight on the orders of Driver/Foreman C. Ranganathan! (KG)
