The YFs survived in Assam after their extinction elsewhere. Whereas those on the Western Railway were converted to 2-6-2s, most of the NFR examples remained as 0-6-2s. 30390 was built by Krupp in 1931 and was photographed at Samaguri on a local train between Chaparmukh Junction and Silghat Town in January 1979.
