Malayan Industrial Railways

On 22nd May 1971, John Benson visited the Kaw Chin Hoe sawmill at Banting. Despite its closeness to Kuala Lumpur, its 610 mm (2ft) logging railway was carrying out huge trees. This is 3, Hunslet 20hp 4wDM 2812/1943. This was one of six similar locomotives that came here second hand from the UK Ministry of Supply. (JB)
