Just 'out of the box', John found a Hunslet 4wDM (7021/1971) which had been delivered in February. In due course it would become the new #2. It is a sobering thought that on the other side of the Java Sea, 0-4-2ST Trangkil 4 from the same builder (3902/1971) was also just starting its working life. (JB)
