Malayan Industrial Railways

Mining commenced in 1929 and the company was originally Japanese owned which accounted for the Hitachi built steam fleet of 0-4-0T and 2-6-2T. By now, only examples of the latter survived, built between 1935 and 1939, there were originally 20 of them. (PH)
