The Oil Palm Railways of North Sumatra

This was the typical early morning line up Bah Jambi in the good old days on 28th May 1977. On the left is Orenstein and Koppel (OK) Mallet 7 and on the right DuCroo and Brauns (DB) Mallet 75. Nearly all locomotives in this area were numbered in a single sequence, hence the large numbers. (RD)
