C3065

C3065 was constructed by Werkspoor (595/1929), others were built by Hohenzollern, Borsig and Hanomag. It was originally Staats Spoorwegen 1765. This 2-6-2T had two outside cylinders 425 x 600 mm with driving wheel diameter of 1350 mm. Boiler pressure was 12.0 kg/cm2, grate area 1.6 m2 with a heating surface of 69.6 m2 and a superheater surface of 26.3 m2. Overall weight was 49.8 tons with 33.0 tons available for adhesion. C3065 is preserved at Taman Mini near Jakarta. These locomotives were found in South (as was C3065) and West Sumatra into the 1970s. During the Second World War a number of them were removed by the Japanese and several survived in Cambodia until quite recently.
