C1206

C1206 was constructed by Hartmann (2106/1895) a compound development of the C11. It was originally Staats Spoorwegen 209 and later 444. This 2-6-0T had one outside cylinders 380 x 509 mm and one outside cylinder 580 x 509 mm with driving wheel diameter of 1106 mm. Boiler pressure was 12.0 kg/cm2, grate area 1.1 m2 with a heating surface of 61.1 m2. Overall weight was 33.6 tons with 27.1 tons available for adhesion. C1206 is preserved at Taman Mini near Jakarta. In the 1970s they were found widely distributed, particularly in East and Central Java.
