The International Steam Pages

Two Burrells to Marcle, July 17th, 2015

This is one of a series of pages I have uploaded to illustrate facets of the steam rallies we have attended in the UK. Click here for the Marcle index and click here for the overall 2015 index.

We were tipped off by the Brown family (whose own Burrell Diamond Queen is temporarily indisposed) that there would be a movement from near Course to the Marcle Show. It was an opportunity not to be missed. Burrells 'Marshal Foch' (3849/1920) and 'Coeur de Lion' (3368/1913) kept us entertained and the traffic frustrated for 2 or 3 hours mainly on the A417 and A449. Out thanks go to the Browns, driver Adam and owners Richard Hall and Richard Wilcox for entertaining us, I know they enjoyed it too and we look forward to getting more similar invitations

Compared to Diamond Queen's 2014 trip to South Cerney, this one was more challenging as the weather was less favourable and most of the journey was on busy main roads. I have uploaded a YouTube video of the event - The pictures below are just some of those we managed to grab while shooting, as always click on the thumbnail to see the larger version and then click on the picture to return here:
